About Corbett National Park

This
Park is situated in the north of Uttar Pradesh, in Nainital and Garhwal
districts,
Corbett
National Park was the venue from where Project Tiger was launched on
April 1, 1973. Project Tiger aimed at saving the tiger from extinction
because a census in 1970 revealed that the tiger population had dwindled to
2,000, from 40,000 in 1913. It is located in the foothills of Himalayas and
is also a home of the rich and diverse Flora that inhabits the wondrous
Fauna.
About the Resort :
The Corbett Riverside Resort is a sprawling 12 acres of lush landscaped
expanse, located in Garjia by the banks of the river Kosi. It is surrounded
by the verdant forests of the Jim Corbett National Park.
Jim Corbett National Park is named after the great hunter turned
conservationist Jim Corbett.. Corbett Wildlife Sanctuary is the largest
forest area in India. The forest, because of its excellent wildlife
spotting, has been a favourite holiday destination for many.
Corbett is famous for its wildlife - Tigers, Leopards, Elephants, Deer,
Crocodiles, Bears, Boars, Gharial and many species of reptiles.
The area offers ample opportunity in Mahasheer fishing & has a rich
variety of birds such as Egrets, Kingfishers, Barbets, Ibisbills and the
elusive Wall-Creeper.

The resort has 24, exclusive suites,double room and tents ideal for wild
life enthusiast, honeymooners and all who want to experience a perfect
vacation.
The Resort serves Indian, Continental & Chinese cuisine, all made from
fresh, organically grown, vegetables from our own farm. The drinking water
is from natural springs.

can also be organized along the river or nearby hills for people with a
spirit of adventure. The Hills of Nainital Ranikhet and Almora are exciting
for longer treks.
